They made a curious sound, like a scooter starting at times. At other times they squeaked in their little voices, "Cui Cui". A pair of guinea pigs that were kept as pet consumed all out attention indoors when it rained. It was one such rainy day, when they had been given some fresh grass that I noticed one of them seemed heavier. I was wondering about it.

"Oh she may have babies soon. Then my brother will take the babies away", my aunt replied. Though she did not like other pets, she was fond of the guinea pigs.

"They were brought by her brother. So she likes them," was Uncle's logical reply whenever I asked how aunt who was averse to all his pets loved the guinea pigs.

"He is just using this space to make babies. He is useless.Does no work. Was in a temporary job in the nearby mill which shut down. So he does all this nuisance and takes money from his sister and enjoys.

Anna(elder brother ) does not say anything to his wife, so she also exploits, taking his money. One day they will all learn a big lesson. They do not know Anna.he never barks just bites," Uncle further added.

"Really", I wondered . I was curious to know what my elder uncle will do.He was sagacious and unconventional. It was not long before the babies arrived and were weaned off.Soon my elder aunt's brother was there to pick the babies.

I waited with bated breath to see what happen. That was the day elder Uncle had a rough day at work. Before my aunt could warn him, her brother had picked the two pups. then it was all drama.

Elder Uncle gave a stern look at him and asked him to leave the pups.

"This is the third time you are doing this. Do you think I married your sister to provide you with a livelihood? If you like them leave your parents and stay with them here. Do you think they are machines? These pups will stay with the parents. And no more pups henceforth."

No one said a word beyond that.

My youngest cousin loved to play with the tiny ones.

He was smiling hiding behind a curtain as my aunt's brother walked away.

I was amused and stopped my laughter with great difficulty burying my head in my book.
