Today's day was mildly productive, but I am sure as the days go by, this productivity will increase. So a few months back, I had bought the whole set of the Game of Thrones. I had just finished watching the last season and I guess I wasn't ready to get out of that world just yet. But guess what, I had not even finished one of the seven and I stopped. Probably because I got busy with other things.
Today I finally sat down to continue it. Well, also because a friend said that it gets better further down the line. And I literally read for 2 hours straight without any break. Why did i leave reading in the first place? It is so therapeutic. It's like you get transported to a completely different world, and it takes a minute for you to adjust to your world when you come back to it. That feeling is just so beautiful.
Besides reading, I also did a little cooking. I was never a bad cook but I just avoided cooking if it wasn't necessary. At home, my mother or the cook was always there to cook. But since the cook hasn't been coming because of the lockdown, I decided to help out my mother.
My mother is just so protective of me, she wasn't letting me do anything. If I said I wanted to chop the vegetables, she told me that I would cut my finger as the knife is too sharp. When I volunteered to wash the utensils, she said the soap would hurt my fingers as I bite my nails. But in the end, I did manage to help her out with some frying and baking.
Just for the record, I made doughnuts. Something that I had been craving to have for many days. They weren't the best, but everyone loved them. Well, everyone except my brother. He just loves teasing me. You would have loved them too, diary.
So that was all that I did today besides sleeping and eating. Not a lot, but a little something. Wait for much more coming your way tomorrow, diary.
