With the maids allowed off ...the doorbell did not ring till late. I had my quota of sleep and got some extra doses due to this. I had cleaned the house and utensils last night. The only thing that was left to attend was cooking. Since the lockdown, I had decided to be frugal in spending resources. My daily routine of elaborate cooking (since I am a foodie) has been replaced by modest breakfast, lunch, and dinner. No more time-consuming job...therefore.

Once out of bed and done with the washroom, I took baby steps and sat in my balcony with a cup of green tea in my hand. When one is not in a hurry, green tea with lemon and honey spells wonders. It rejuvenates and flushes out all those bad elements.

As I sat there, to take stock of the situation, I was encountered by an eerie silence. Nobody was at sight ...perhaps the scare had forced people to adhere to self-quarantine. Very much distant from normal ...per se.

I was happy to note that people have chosen duties over rights as survival is at stake.

I could listen to the chirping of birds, cooing of cuckoos and could spot a few sparrows even, much to my delight. It spelled heavenly bliss and I thanked God for the simple joys which no money can buy.

My expedition unto myself kicked off with a healthy breakfast of cereals, fruits, and two egg whites. I had fueled myself for the day. Indulged me in hugging indoor plants....watered them, manicured, pedicured, coaxed and finally talked to them at length. It is always better to speak to them rather than talking to the walls.

Late afternoon and evening were meant for reading and writing.

Read a bit...scribbled a bit...jotted down points for my future endeavors.

By then evening had set in ...inviting night to gulp it down.

That is how I spent the day.
