Buddy and the Lost Diamond
Buddy and the Lost Diamond
In a small village named Greenhills, there lived a beagle dog named Buddy. He was a dog who loved to do adventure but he had a mysterious secret that he could talk like humans. Nobody else knew about the secret except a cheerful, kind-hearted girl Tina. She kept it well within a bound between themselves.
One fateful morning, when Buddy was roaming in the garden, his eyes and ears perked up on listening to a gardener’s radio that said, “Breaking news! A worthy diamond has been lost unknowingly. Last seen at Moonlight Forest.”
A mystery, an adventure — thought Buddy, which he always wanted. He ran to Tina and said, “I will rescue the diamond and bring it back to you.” Tina agreed. But there was a problem — the Moonlight Forest was guarded by many growling wolves.
They thought of a mind-blowing plan. Tina sketched the map and gave him a torch.
Soon, after Buddy’s route, his pigeon bird named Chirpy came and guided Buddy for some miles and said, “Follow the secret route.”
After some time, a glowing silver shining deer jumped out from the trunk of a peepal tree. The deer said, “Take this enchanted leaf. It will protect you from danger.”
Buddy carefully tucked in the enchanted leaf and left.
After whole ten minutes, he found the mysterious cave where the diamond was kept safely under protection of two dangerous growling wolves.
When he started to come near, he was afraid that the wolves would see him. So he thought, “I will run fast and grab the diamond! But wolves will catch me.”
When he was thinking all these, he moved a step forward and a twig snapped. Out of nowhere, the wolves were alerted and started to search him and found him.
He was afraid and didn’t know what to do. Suddenly, he remembered that he had the enchanted leaf, took it out and the leaf glowed. The light was so powerful that the wolves ran across.
Seizing the moment, he grabbed the diamond and dashed toward Greenhills and gave it to Tina. She was proud and gave Buddy some of his favorite treats.
The villagers were shocked, and police stood in disbelief thinking, “A beagle did it!” And Tina gave him a proud pat.
MoralSmall creatures can do the work that we cannot do. Be brave and have courage before doing any work — no matter the size.
