Broken Bowl

Broken Bowl

"Please! Trust me, everything will be back", as Avanti's hands tried to reach my head to comfort, but I bat them away.

I wasn't dejected nor angry. Slowly, I took the glass bowl which was on the table beside and dropped it on the floor. She darted and stepped back staring at me and I stare at the broken bowl.

"If it's like that, bring this back and fine as it was before", I said looking out of the window.

A little did I know that I never wanted to see her face and that broken bowl would never return. That was true that the broken bowl will never look as it was. It was hazardous after all forever.' But I will never see her again' didn't turn out true unless I met her again after 2 years.

2 years later, unfortunately, I came across Avanti, but I saw that broken bowl! It was much prettier than it was. The cracks were covered with some decorative paper which I didn't care about.

"See, now it looks prettier than it was before. I always loved you, my little sister," she said as she hugged me. I did rest my head on her shoulder, but didn't hug her tighter or kissed her on the cheek like before, instead remember the time when she left me even though I waited for her so long in my tough time. Anyway, the broken bowl didn't look as it did before perhaps like my heart.
