Life was better than ever. I had all that I wanted. I felt like I was the luckiest person on earth. It was a part of my life where only happiness prevailed. I had loving and caring parents, good loving teachers and a bff whom I trusted more than anyone and scored A's in all subjects. But it taught me an important lesson. So let me tell you from where it all began.

I was in class minding my own business and completing my homework. Then a girl approached me for something and we started to chat and became very good friends. It felt like I knew her ever since I was born. We were like sisters within just 2days. We met at each others place, organized parties, danced, played, took selfies, went to amusement parks and a lot more things that typical "tween bffs" usually do. Our friendship lasted 4 long years and I thought we were together forever and don't need any other friend in life. Later as the portion of the school began to get through and with other sources of distraction which usually all middle schoolers face, I somehow couldn't cope up with my A's. My grades fell to C.

As usual we discussed our grades, and she had got A's. I felt a bit bad, but my parents and teachers told me that it was fine to face failure once in a while and motivated me. One week passed and there was no sign of my best friend, either on call, text or face to face. I wondered what the matter was and also apologized to her, in case there was any mistake of mine. She said nothing and ignored me on face. I called, but she didn't pick up. I texted, she blocked. I spoke she ignored. The. One day I met her at a super market. I was with my mom and she was with hers. I thought that it was the best time I could bring my friendship back on track.

But my mom refused to meet them. After coming home she told me that there was no use of this friendship and I should forget it. I was horrified and asked her what the matter was, so she told me, "I spoke to Cara's (Cara is a classmate) mom to wish her for her birthday and while chatting, she told me that Cara used to be best friends with your bff. They were very good friends. But then Cara didn't manage to get A's so your bff broke friendship with her." I was horrified to hear that she had broken friendship with me forever but the reason hurt me even more.

To be honest I still haven't recovered from it even though it ended 3years back. How can I forget all those sweet memories. This had a deep effect in me. I now have many friends, but I make sure I don't be "bffs" with them and keep my secrets to myself. I'm not saying your best friend will betray you, I'm just trying to make you aware of the fact that bffs can betray too. And just in case you are someone who betrayed your bff for their money, love, scores etc, then let me tell you, that the scares formed in the victim's heart lasts forever.
