Once upon a time, there was a young boy whose name was Andy. He had a big brother, John. John had down syndrome and just had surgery of his kidneys and his heart. Andy loved his brother a lot. He used to tell everything, what used to happen in school, to his elder brother. Their mom was a single working mother. She used to leave her sons under a maid. Once, Andy was playing in the backyard with flowers. He saw a very cute dog coming towards him.

His maid screamed, "Don't go near him, Andy. He is a stray dog." But, Andy did not listen to her and swayed his hands on the dog's body. The dog felt loved. Andy bought him home and showed John to the dog. John was very happy to see him. Andy named the dog, Riley. Andy first gave Riley a bath and something to eat. He called his mom and told her about the dog. Their mom was happy to have a dog at home.

After a few days, the maid was on a leave and their mom had to attend an important meeting. She said to her sons, "Take care of yourselves. I will be back by 12.30." Andy did not go to school and was playing on the front lawn with Riley. John was looking at Andy play and then, in his wheelchair went to his room. Riley went inside to drink water kept in his dog bowl when, he heard a clattering sound from John's room and found him on the floor, shaking violently. He started barking loudly.

Immediately, Andy and their mom arrived. They saw that Riley was barking and followed Riley to John's room. She took John to the hospital. Andy was shocked to see his brother in that state. Andy and Riley were told to wait at home. They both sat by the window waiting for the car to arrive.

When their mom's car arrived, Riley and Andy ran towards her their mom. Mom comforted them by saying that everything was fine. If Riley wouldn't have taken their mom to John's room, he would have died. The doctors told that they were going to keep John for a month and run some tests. So, there was nothing to worry about. Riley, Andy, and their mom visited John every day for a month and then brought him home on the 31st day.

Only knowing John and Andy for a few days, Riley made them his best friends and would do anything to protect them.....
