Baby Elephant

Dear Diary,

Today so much horror is expressed over the human sneeze because of this mad minute virus. But I recollect a hilarious incident that happened many years back which still creates guffaws over a non-human sneeze. One fine day we had visited a temple in Tamilnadu on our tour of this beautiful state. The temple housed a baby elephant. All of us went to it in turns and it raised its heavy rubbery trunk on everyone’s head as if in blessing. When I bowed my head too, the jumbo baby sneezed so heavily on my head that I thought that all the hair on my head was blown and gone forever. Everyone present laughed heartily. Maybe this showering was a friendly gesture. Or maybe I was an elephant in my previous birth!
