ANNUAL SPORTS DAY

Every year, sports day is celebrated with great preparation. On this day, all the students are asked to participate in different games organized by our school. Between December and January sports day is organized. It is held at Rabindra Sarovar stadium every year, and it begins around 9:00 a.m.

It begins with the flag hoisting by our principal sir. He also gives some speech which is followed by the National Anthem. Then the senior students are doing march past. All the events start immediately thereafter. The students of different classes who have given their names are lined up. The games of each class are conducted in 2 rounds. The winner is announced after the 2nd round. The players who come in first three positions are awarded with prizes. The prizes are distributed by our principal sir. There are many interesting events like flat race,relay race,skipping race,spoon marble race etc. are played. I also usually participate in flat races and spoon marble race. Our school has also provided us cakes chocolates, biscuits, chips as a food packet after completing our games.

The sports finished around 2:00p.m.The school is closed for a day. After returning home the memory of this day remain evergreen in my heart. We all enjoy ourselves a lot. This day is always fascinating for us.
