Angel Fury
Angel Fury
There was once a boy named Jack. His full name was Jackson Wildersmith and he was 10 years old. He was homeschooled by his parents.
One day he was playing football with his friends and he accidentally kicked the ball too hard. It flew into a hole that the gardener had been digging for some time. He went into the hole (it was quite large, but only Jack could fit in). When Jack got out he felt strangely elated as if he had reached another world. He resumed his game with his friends.
The next day he went down to play pretty early and he saw the gardener digging the same hole and making it wider. Jack went and asked him why he was digging the hole. The gardener murmured something and Jack only caught the words “Angel…Family…Kidnapped…The only way back…”. Jack said, “Excuse me, but what were you saying? I couldn’t understand a word”. The Gardener looked up and said it very quickly and the words hit Jack like bullet shots. Apparently, the gardener received a note that said, “Dig a hole as large as a truck if you value your family. We are giving you twelve days”. After this, at the gardener’s home, although the clock was working fine, it suddenly set itself to twelve o’clock. Interestingly, the total number of people in the gardener’s home was also twelve including him. After one day of receiving the note, the clock set itself to eleven o’clock and one of the family members went missing. This happened daily until it was only him, his wife and his child. That is when he started to start digging as per the note he had received. Out of curiosity, Jack asked if he could see the note and the gardener gave it to him. The note said whatever the gardener had said and there was a devil’s head symbol at the end of it. He suddenly saw the head symbol move and the next thing he knew he was flying through the hole.
Jasper hated this life. This, caged feeling about his home. He wanted to be outside to enjoy fresh air and freedom. That was what he wanted, freedom. He hated just looking out of the window, he wanted to be there. His dad had laughed at the idea of him going out. Even though he was a ten-year-old angel, he was not allowed to go outside because his wings had barely developed. It was strange that his nine-year-old brother had wings larger than his parents. His brother had been encouraged by the sheer willpower of an above grounder or humans as they called themselves. What he did not expect was an above grounder crashing through the ceiling but that is what exactly happened.
Jack somehow got up and braced himself ready for a fight. What he did not expect was a normal household scene, the dad was reading the newspaper, the mom was washing dishes and the brothers were watching TV. The only difference was that they all had wings. Then, suddenly they all looked at him and started groaning…!? Something about ceiling repair prices. That was when he realized that he had crashed through the ceiling. He wanted to help them but he did not know how he could, after which something mind-blowing happened.
Jasper was speechless, as the broken ceiling pieces had started to fix themselves back on the ceiling. He realized that this was none of their doing, the human was doing this. The above grounder suddenly fell to the ground and closed his eyes. They rushed towards him and took him to the bed. None of them had realized that because of the crash, Jasper had finally got his first breath of fresh air. His wings that were no bigger than a thumb a few minutes back were now the biggest wings ever measured. He silently thanked the human for both repairing the ceiling and making his wings grow.
Jack suddenly shot up in his bed and saw four concerned faces looking at him. He smiled and said, “I am fine, thank you”. Then they all asked the same question at the same time, “How did you fix the ceiling?” He said, “I don’t know”. Then he remembered how he came here while reading the note and maybe he could help the gardener in some way being here. So he asked, “Do you know of any kidnappings happening around here?” The family’s face went dark and they said, “We do know, but only the ba’s do that”. He asked confused, “Who are the ba’s? Sheep with wings?”. They replied, “No, ba is short for bad angels a.k.a demons.” Jack said,” Where do we get them? My gardener’s family has been kidnapped by them. Can you guys help?” The family went into a huddle and discussed among themselves and then in unison said “Yeah, we will help. After all, you helped Jasper get his wings.” Jack said, “Well we better go get them.” They made Jack climb onto Jasper's back and together they flew to the ba’s den. Jasper liked Jacks' interpretation of ba’s and had started calling them “The Sheep’s”. So here they were at the Sheep’s den.
As soon as Jack got down from Jasper's back to the ground full of tall grass, the sheep’s den sounded an Intruders alarm. Jasper hearing the alarm for the first time, in fear flew away. The Sheep’s immediately left what they were doing to attack the intruder. The Sheep’s family of five had powers that they could use to generate rays from their bare hands to attack (It is a very complicated system, if I was to explain the full thing to you, I would take three books). Jack immediately made himself invisible by hiding within the tall grass. He then notices that the five Sheep’s are all circling the grassland but not coming into the grass land. Jack decides to attack the tallest one who was nearest to him and starts to swiftly crawling through the grass land so the others don’t notice him. He then suddenly hears a baby crying and a old man coughing. He immediately realizes it might be the gardener’s family kept captive and Jack is filled with immeasurable rage. As he got closer to the tallest one, he started moving faster and in one big blow hit the chest of the Sheep. IT cracked the ribs and the tallest one fell down. The others immediately started to attack him with blasts of plasma rays and Jack dodging them efficiently moved towards the other sheep. When he got near him, he suddenly dropped and helicoptered managing to hit the sheep’s feet and make him hit his head on a rock which had a satisfying cracking noise. While going towards the third Sheep, one of the beams hit his right shoulder while another hit him on the left shoulder making him spin and fall into the grass land. While seething in pain he suddenly realized that inside the grassland the beams are ineffective. He conjured up a spear of grass and threw it at one of them and he heard a yell of pain. The other two hearing the yell, they blindly ran in random direction and fell of the cliff bordering their area, never to be seen again.
Jasper had been watching all this from the clouds and after the victory of Jack, came flying down to pick him, when he found that Jack had also had nine other people with him, the gardeners missing family. He took all of them up through the hole and thanking Jack for giving him his wings of life. The gardener was shocked but at the same time grateful to Jack for bringing his family back.
