Amusing Mowgli

It doesn't often rain in the jungle, but when it does it rains long and hard. Mowgli knows that the only thing to do then is to go to the Big Cave and stay there until the finally stops. It is the biggest cave in the jungle, and it is big enough to shelter Mowgli and his jungl friends. Mowgli's jungle friends are animals and birds , and they all are fond of Mowgli. Each oe has a special way of keeping him happy o a rainy day in the Big Cave, so Mowgli is never bored and always has somthing exciting and intresting to do.

Kaa, the snake, is good at makig his long body into loops, and Mowgli has fun in trying to blow pebbles through those loops. Another of Mowgli's favouite games is sliding down the back of his big friend, Baloo, the bear. King Louie, the ape, likes to sing so that Mowgli can dance ot his songs, and two of King Louie's monkeys join their tails together to make a skipping rope, so that Mowgli can skip. Coloenl Hathi and one of his biggest elephants allow Mowgli to tie their trunks together to make him a splendid swing, and the Colonel's little son plays blow-football, and that baby elephant is very good at blowing!

Bagheera, the panther, plays hide-and-seek with Mowgli in the shadowy cave. Mowgli always finds hin because Baghreera's eyes shine in the dark. Raksha and Rama, his wolf friends, tell Mowgli woderful stories of things that happened when he first ame to live with them.

As you can see, Mowgli has great fun in that Big Cave on rainy jungle days!
