A Tale Enchanted
A Tale Enchanted
As I was walking, my attention drifted toward a shiny, red box. It had a particularly ferocious pegasus painted over it most beautifully and delicately, similar to a stained-glass tapestry. It was absolutely captivating. I took it back to my apartment, grabbed a soft cloth, and began wiping the dirt off delicately, afraid of ruining the paint. As the dirt cleared, I noticed a slight crack. I immediately grabbed my supplies, filled the gaps, and left the box to dry.
The next day, I hurried out to buy paint to touch up the parts of the cube that had been fixed. When I returned a few hours later, to my surprise, I couldn't find it anywhere. I frantically searched all around my house, my expression growing grim. Just in case my brothers had taken it to play with, I headed up to the terrace. I found it there—but it was shattered.
Tears welled up in my eyes at the sight of such a beautiful, delicate piece so broken. I carefully gathered the pieces in a handkerchief and took them to my study. Sitting down with my tools, I tried to fix it. As I stuck a few pieces together, I noticed delicate engravings on the inner side of the broken shards, seemingly written in an ancient language. I jotted all the engravings down on paper and took my time translating them. After a few hours of extremely focused effort, I finished. It was a seemingly enchantingly haunting tale:
In the land of Ivermore lived the mighty Pegasus of the elements. There were four clans: Fire, Water, Earth, and Wind. Each clan had a leader, and there were two supreme leaders over all of them. These supreme leaders held power over all the elements. They were two beautiful sisters whose manes represented the four clans—a mixture of blue, red, green, and white that gave a stunning ombre effect.
For a long time, the land of Ivermore lived in peace and harmony. But between the sisters, a greed for power began to rise. They each wanted to rule alone, no longer wishing to share the throne. A terrible fight broke out between them. The night was grim, and the other pegasi worried for their lives. They simply desired both sisters to rule in harmony and hated being divided. Thus, the clan leaders took matters into their own hands. Meeting in secret, they united the power over all four elements to trap the sisters inside a beautiful, stained-glass cube...
Hey there, it's Scars to Script. I'm back with a newly improved version of my story, Think Always. I originally wrote this piece when I was just seven years old, and I realized it deserved a rewrite. Since I am always looking for ways to grow as a writer, please feel free to leave your honest feedback and point out any mistakes.
Sayonara and see you later!
Lots of love,
