A Snaky Experience

Hey there.. I am going to describe an incident in my life...

I was on a trip to Kanyakumari this December to present my mathematics research paper at a national conference. The presentation was a real success and everything was fine regarding that.

Then, we went to tour Kanyakumari. On the first day, we visited the Vivekananda rock memorial and had a nice time. I was along with some other friends as well and we had a great time.

The next day.. the main incident happened. We planned to go to a place called Triveni Sangam. It was the place where the Indian Ocean, Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea mixed together. It was a rocky beach.

That day, the waves were very high almost up-to my neck every time and I enjoyed it. I, along with my brother built sandcastles and my mom took pics.

Then I sat on a submerged rock and started playing in the sand.

Suddenly, a long black snake with yellow spots glided near my leg.

I ran out, screaming 😱. I was scared out of my wits. Even my brother noticed it and we both were terrified. Then we went to our room.

I found that it was called the yellow-bellied sea snake.. It was venomous and guess what, it lived under rocks. So I learned that we should never sit on rocks on rocky beaches... Many don't know about this. It is a very common snake found in every part of the world and I advise you to be careful.
