A Man's Best Friend

There once lived a dog named Jackie. He was a very close buddy of the entire family. Harish, a small boy, used to take care of him. Jackie was a very adorable, playful, faithful and a remarkable dog. One day at night, Jackie was sleeping very peacefully in his kennel and heard a mysterious sound. He got up and started sniffing and searching. He sniffed some muddy shoes ! He thought something was fishy. He ran and saw Robby, Harish's rival.

Robby was carrying a firecracker. Robby and Harish had a fight earlier in school that day. Harish was eating his lunch that his mother gave him and was gossiping with his friends. Robby came in and snatched Harish's lunch box because Robby was a glutton. Harish and Robby started fighting. When the teacher arrived, Robby's puppets, Cacy and Perkins started narrating the whole incident adding fuel to the injury. When they finished another teacher arrived, and she told the truth. So, Robby, Cacy and Perkins had to face detention. All three tried to convince the teacher, but it was to no avail. Also the teacher knew them in and out as they were notorious in the whole school. All three of them were punished.

So, Robby in a sneaky way wanted to slip down a firecracker in Harish's house. However, Robby was not successful with his plan because Jackie was an intelligent dog. He bit Robby on his leg and threw his own drinking water on the firecracker. Harish's entire family came out to see what had happened. Robby shrieked in pain as loud as he could. Harish understood everything by seeing the firecracker lying on his garden. He beamed at Jackie and patted him.
