A Big And Heavy Friend

An elephant calf wondered in the forest looking for friends. She came across a monkey and said, Will you be my friend? Monkey replied by saying, No you can't be my friend, you are too fat and big and cannot climb on the tree as I.

Then calf came across a frog and asked, Will you be my friend? The frog replied by saying, No, you are too big and heavy, you can't jump like me. I am sorry. 

Then the elephant met the rabbit and asked for friendship. Rabbit also replied you are too big to fit in my burrow. Sorry, I can't be your friend.

The calf asked fox and got the same reply. The calf went to her mother with teary eyes and told everything. Her mother appreciated her and said not to worry. We're very courageous and are full of daring. The next day all the animals were running in the forest with fear. The little calf stopped a bear and asked, What happened? The bear said in huffing sound that tiger is attacking us.

The little calf went to the tiger and said please leave these weak animals. They are my friends. Don't eat them. Tiger didn't care elephant's request and said to mind her own business. Seeing no way, calf kicked the tiger and scared him away. 

On returning back to animals the little calf narrated everything. By this act, all animal agreed to be her friend and said you are the right size to be our friend.

Note: Friends come in all shapes and sizes.
