You Could Have... But...

You Could Have... But...

You could have become a doctor

And saved the life of a million people

You could have become a scientist

And flew in space like Chandra

You could have become another Sania

And brought glory to our country

You could have become Mary Kom

Inspired a hundred girls to become like you

You could have become head our Proud Army

And lead it ahead in the path of glory

But you could become none above

You were not even allowed to be born

You lie there in the bucket of blood

A lifeless mass of men’s cruelty

While the male around gloat in their glory

I weep silently as coward victim

Praying that this will end one day

When a female baby will also be born

And raised with all the love and care

When men learn to become real men
