Why I Am Me

The colossal edifice

That multistoried office

Stands tall and high

Touching the skylines

Celebrates its presence

In the sky full of clouds.

Stairs climb to eternity

I stare soberly uphill

Riding up with spade stops

Fervently ask often

Why I am just me

Not better than thee.

Success not permanent

Failure never prevents

The silence is worrisome

Speaks aloud all-around

I am simply ordinary

Even not better than me.

Decisions inept and delayed

Choices awfully wrong

Words not always correct

Trusted wrong people

Loves I did mess

Are not easy to forget.

I did try to be different

Fly to be with stars

Run ahead of the pack

Changed even the track

Nevertheless, people do ask

How do you make?

And to try just better

Follow footprints of others

Often go for work over

But politely being asked

What makes you truly yours?

Failure comes as a misnomer.

Not counted in numbers

No one ready to father

Pensively asked often

Why I am me, just me

Irrespective of whether

The bad or good

The wright or wrong

The bottom or top

The time tests my limitation.
