Maybe someday your light will find my eyes

Maybe I won’t feel empty inside

You’ll erase the memories I sewed into my wrists

Threaded with all but good intentions 

Yet there you stand with all your angelic perfections.

Filling all the emptiness with your soft lips 

And brilliant eyes shining in my starless sky

Maybe from afar I too will shine 

Would they open the gates for your divinity

When they saw all this darkness in me 

Or like Hades and Persephone

Would I drag you down with me
