What Is Life? A Mortal’s quest
What Is Life? A Mortal’s quest
Is it merely a dance to the rhythm of uncertainty?
Or perhaps a stumble on the road to eternity?
I shall ne’er know, but I do despair,
That, by the mortal illusions I’m already ensnared
However, I do not wish to conceal from you the fact,
That I’m merely putting up an act,
Of ignorance, towards the acclaimed emperor,
Who is Time, the ultimate conqueror.
Is there an elixir for one to be immortal,
Or, to the world of perpetuity a portal?
I shall ne’er know, but I do despair,
enter">That, by the mortal illusions I’m already ensnared
I wish beyond measure to live, surpassing life,
To vanquish birth and death, and brandish existence’s deceptive knife.
But, I have no knowledge of the path to take,
Or of whose company to forsake.
I shall ne’er know, but I do despair,
That, by the mortal illusions I’m already ensnared.
I do desire to know the truth,
The world’s perversity it can soothe
To seek this, have I embarked
On this quest through places of light and dark.
