Ugh, Cricket!

For others, it's just a game,

For India, it's a religion.

It does really brings name and fame,

If you ain't stuck to television!

First, there was a test and then a series,

Tri-series sure followed them soon.

Then came the world cup with all its glory,

And that was another beginning of the doom.

Yes, it's a sport and I won't deny,

It's exciting to follow the match.

If only you strictly do define,

For how long you gonna watch!

Sitting day long before the television,

Yelling and screaming at every shot.

Sure as hell sounds like a mission,

With someone on a load of pot.

Come on! get on with your life,

Cricket's not really the only thing.

Who knows if your angry wife,

Is probably thinking of a fling!

There are some rules for television time,

It's not just for the kids at home.

God forbid if you would like to try,

You'll face your kid's angry mom!

Dear men, try to understand,

No matter if it's a match or show.

Women would like some more of your time,

Stop behaving like a kid, please grow!

Cricket has been on everyone's mind,

As long as I can remember.

If someone thinks of it as a waste of time,

All they need is a lending ear.
