Ugadi is the Telugu new year,

It is celebrated every year,

The priest follows the lunar calendar,

People dress up traditionally,

Birds during spring season sing melodiously,

On that day people visit temple must,

In temples is a heavy rush,

Ugadi pickle is a mixture of six tastes,

It is very delicious,

Special greeting cards posted to relations,

Ugadi is also a day to remember ancestors.
