Turning Towards Sunshine
Turning Towards Sunshine
In the pastures green which seems to be,
To all who looks into my thriving place,
What no one understands is that
The green is not just green, but a shade.
The shade has stood up
Like a mask, to cover up-
What is not right and what is just not blissful.
The mask that turns towards the one,
Telling that I hide what is the truth.
Lying on these masks of green, i hide my tears,
And wake up with a smile on,
Yet another mask that keeps reminding
That all around is just a fake.
Cry, but no tears come out,
Shout but no voice echoes,
What is life when it shuns the joy?
And keeps pushing me to a darker world
Leaving me to live a life without a reason.
Why do you cut me from all the joys?
And give me what tears up my heart?
All that the throbbing thing needs,
Is a shower of love to thrive upon?
Looking at the sunshine
It yearns for more;
But something holds it like a force
Which will not let it breathe on its own.
Why is the world so filled with hatred?
That it never promises a ray of hope for me?
The tempting Sunshine shows its face,
To make ye yearn for something more!
