Togetherness
Togetherness
Where did we lose those days
When watching Sholay was a family event
And even neighbors heard Gubbar’s roar
With the speaker brought by brother on rent
Those rainy days when we came home wet
To mother’s fresh pakoda smells
With hot milk for me
And tea for everybody else
The times I would check my sister’s closet
To find a fitting dress
And she would happily share it
Even though she had less
The hits and misses from father
A day before the Maths exam
Getting average - to his disappointment
But feeling lucky for getting out of a jam
Being happy in those small moments
Created a simple memory
Of love and sharing and caring
But now... it's just an odd reverie.
