Time Will Tell

Those times gave us comfort, but the world wanted more,

The world wished for advances, "luxury" as we know.

Those times gave us toys as simple as could be,

But the world had a bright idea, now we call "technology".

Those times let us walk through lanes, lanes that sung a song,

But the world wanted speed, so four wheelers came along.

Those times gave us paper, to pen our thoughts down,

But our world discovered the "SMS", so the quickest way was found.

But time had to pass and so it took with it,

It took the mere innocence that kept our world so knit.

Not only did we lose our innocence with time,

We've lost ourselves to gadgets and all our peace of mind.

Our world is so fascinated, with all the newest things,

But time will have the last laugh for it knows what the future brings.
