Think Inside The Box
Think Inside The Box
What they say she no longer hears
By now she has learnt to lock her ears
The hinges in her neck a nodding reflex
The light ahead, her bright future
Timetables, routines all there to teach her
To conform “outside the box”
Nobody heeds to look inside
The world within that does reside
As she quietly slips into her chest
The trees are blue
There’s yellow water
The houses flew
What does it matter
She draws the stars
She goes to sea
She casts a spell
She writes a song
There is no rhyme
There is no reason
With it she is aloft
Her sore mind is soothe
The thorns are soft
The bumps are smooth
And yet again its locked away
The magic inside the box will stay
For she has to search outside
They tell her she will excel
If diversions she does expel
But she knows better
Now and then a glimpse she’ll share
Only if with her you dare
Think inside the box
