They (Critics)
All my life they taunted me,
Although I ignored it with glee,
They say I didn’t do anything,
Also, they were the brains behind everything,
I was between the devil and the deep blue sea,
However we were cast in the same mould,
Was something they did not see,
And tears that I could not hold.
They repeated that we were as different as chalk and cheese,
Still in their group I tried to squeeze,
They had totally clipped my wings,
Being dogs in a manger, they did not allow me to enter the ring.
They treated me like an empty bottle,
Although I did work with full throttle,
The solution was not calling me a nerd,
However they seemed as keen as mustard.
Always they seemed like hammer and tongs,
Still I was unaware of what were my rights and what were my wrongs.
