The War Is Yet To Come!
The War Is Yet To Come!
The moon shines its light,
The soldiers have finished their fight.
Although the battle's over,
The people still search for cover.
The General banged his drum,
For the war is yet to come!
Many have lost their lives,
Many their children and their wives.
All the children; merry boys and girls,
Nowadays, they do not dance or twirl.
The General banged his drum,
For the war is yet to come!
All the vegetation; taxed and rationed,
Many have fled to the stations.
To catch the train and flee alive,
For into blood and gore they do not wish to dive.
The General banged his drum,
For the war is yet to come!
Many have lost their smiles,
But the spirit of freedom and vengeance still thrives.
Axes, blades, weapons, guns,
For the next few days won't be any fun.
The General banged his drum,
For just the battle is over, The war is yet to come!
