The Walk

As I walk on and on,

I couldn't remember from where I started,

Neither could I keep a track

Of miles I walked,

The tunes I hummed,

And eyes I met,

Or the times I tripped over and fell,

Moving forward was all I can do,

For,

The road ahead was longer

Than the one I left behind.

Moving forward was all I can do,

'Coz this road took me to somewhere new,

It may have ups and downs,

But as I hum the tunes,

I tell myself that I'll never go down
