The Tribe Vibe
The Tribe Vibe
Swarthy and pallor, is the image of us in your minds written
You might call us underdeveloped, but you are disguised in the dust of discrimination
Your prejudices and orthodox notions
Have grappled our throats and choked us from within
We practice our own set of beliefs, and in our hearts resides humanity
But you with your remarks promote the rise of atrocity
Trying to demean my existence, giving hopes to inequality
Everytime you call us wild, it uplifts the insecurities
Your watchful antagonism deepens the absurdities
Our collective consciousness safeguards our resources, for Nature is our God
We are no hooligans and that is assured
We are always portrayed as a disgrace to the human race
But we are simple humans, persisting to earn dignity since uncountable days
The government is a mere shadow to me
Throttling my habitat in the name of development and technology
Why not embrace us as who we are and simply let us be
All we demand is no interference in our way of living
But with no social acceptance, in the ocean of discrimination we are swimming
Why call us uncouth if we prefer fire dance over hip hop
Our justice has certainly taken a drop
Why call us poor if our culture revolves around agriculture
Tell us why we are proclaimed low with no gesture
We face inequality which rises from your delusion
We are namely tribes, but at the end of the day, each one is a human.
