The Road To Avalon...

The Road To Avalon...

2 mins

Night, at the stroke of twelve

India rings her Independence bell.

Nurturing her dreams to reality

Every kith and kin, young and old in piety

Transcended with happiness in mixture

Enlivened to the core, in human texture.

Ever green memory it is, those yesteryears

Nice to enjoy the freedom at midnight in tears.

Father of Nation, hallmarked the essence of unity

Oneness support to Hindu and Muslim, infidelity

Raising storms, an agony, it's Godse’s haul

Triggered shots on Mahatma, a great fall

Years’ freedom struggle -a blow in every Indian wall.

Sanctum of Indian legacy, spirited in people’s mind

Enchanting beauty everywhere-a Nation’s pride

Ventured to lead India with traditional culture

Elected leader’s revamped the custom in stature

Nook and corner of States adorned in beautiful treasure.

Top Himalayas to the downtown Cape Comorin

Opulence fair, speaks of the glory of great reign.

Taj Mahal, the epitome of Love, captivating camera

Wonderful palaces, tombs and castles - a plethora

Of cultural feeling, India indeed in spectra.

Temples, an architectural marvel to the core

Heavenly blessings from God’s pour

Oneness festivals and languages we cherish in cheer,

Uniquely serene happiness is now here

Saints and poets bode on hillocks, a rare sight

Alluring shrines take us to height

Nature is plenty with eco-friendly sanctuary

Dance to the tune of flora and fauna in luxury.

Nectar of music, India in gaiety

In classical or Hindustani, a jugalbandhi

Needless to talk about ISRO’s role

Education opens the platform in whole .

Turning our eyes to agriculture in bay

Ecstatic moments so much to say

Ending my poem from 1947 to 2019 in ray

Never go astray from your motherland away......
