The Promised Land of Youth

It effaces like dust whooshed away my wind

You can wallow deep in ethereal love affairs

While time and space is changing significantly around you

Reversing many discourses of truth

One after another

You stump on a memory so that it ceases to change its shape

Calling it sacred

But you are a fool

If you think your parlous state would excite pity

Rather it would inspire disgust

Poison becomes harmless, treated to rotten souls

Young souls perish daily under the carcasses

Of a broken past and

Under the platitudinous remarks of a rosy future

There, in this very transition

In the gaps and cracks

I silently enjoy “freedom”

To wake up again to the tyrannical world of youth-

“A promised land to the promising youth”!!
