The Lockdown Poem

 

In lockdown WhatsApp was in use

We had hopes that Corona would reduce

 

 We didn’t go out to play

So, we slept a lot and, on the bed, we lay

 

 Police were working and so were the army

While I stayed at home and watched Laurel and Hardy

 

 Online school started

And I got thoroughly excited

  

One year passed without going to school

But then we started thinking it was cool

  

I drew and drew 

And read about the navy’s crew

 

 I spent quality time with my family

And the “Save Trees!” slogan became a reality!
