The Landline,Cellphone Laptop
The Landline,Cellphone Laptop
It was during my younger days, that,
I saw the telephone, in my friend's home.
Occupying the pride of place, on a table.
I was amazed when told that he could speak
To anyone in the country, or abroad, and,
Anyone could speak with him, from,
Anywhere in the world, it was a miracle.
In those days when knowledge was less.
And through the years, it served us well.
Cutting down costs,cutting down distances.
The days when coin drop telephone booths;
Where lovers dropped coin after coin, with,
The speed of light, with their nonstop talk.
While long lines extended behind him.
Till someone lost his patience, and shouted out,
Those were the days of telephone romance those times have passed,
To the present invention, or innovation, of our times.
Mobile, or cell phones, all features added,
Browse through these apps always,
Tapping restlessly through day and night,
Your phone is now, your new god, then your
Laptop, where your history is now stored,
you are now an extension of your laptop.
Where ever you have hidden your mind.
You don't need it now, you got your new mind.
That does things your brain once did,
Unused the brain dies, a slow death before its time,
Your own mind is also lost, before its time everything,
In our life from the landline to the laptop.
is our innovation, our invention now our way of life.
Farewell to those old days, old ways.
