The Introvert's Friends

An unusual day that was, I was so distant from my prime

Knowing I would meet my friends that day, for one last time

Way down the memory lane, my emotions started to flow

As I thanked them one by one, my tears began to show

Thank you Spiderman I exclaimed, while holding his comic in my hand

For teaching me about responsibilities, and when to take a stand

Alice in wonderland, was the next book in line

That world of curiosity and adventure, was as hers as mine

Harry Potter, his friends and I, what a magical journey we had

Beyond the limits of creativity and fantasy, with rarely anything to add

Goodbye Naruto I expressed, 'The gutsy ninja' was his tale

The boy who taught me to never give up, regardless of how many times I fail

I went through all their books and comics, for that one final time

Living all those friendships once again, in the depths my inner paradigm

As I gifted them that day to my young cousin, I realized that instant was when it ends

But beyond words and images in the realm of intuition, forever they became my friends
