The Golden Riding Hood

There was once a little girl, who was pretty and fair,

With rosy cheeks and golden hair.

A golden hood she wore, and had a horse as well,

On the neck of her horse, she put a little bell.

She was kind and sweet, to all others around,

And she used to play with all the animals on the ground.

One day, her mother told her to take some cake to her grandmother,

She said okay and didn’t even bother!

She took off and reached the forest,

And decided to take a little rest!

When a small little puppy ran towards her,

Thinking that golden riding hood was her mother!

The puppy sniffed the cake in her small little bag,

As he saw it was cake, bow wow wow! It sang.

When Golden riding hood saw the puppy,

She decided to take it along with her and named it Tommy!

The puppy wanted the cake and a toy,

But Golden Riding hood said,

I will give it all to you when you be a good boy!

After a while of walking, Tommy got bored,

He snatched the cake and in the woods, he disappeared!

Golden riding hood ran after him,

She followed and followed till the colour of the skies got dim.

When Tommy reached a house, as Golden Riding hood followed,

She said thanks as it was her grandmom’s home and he helped her to carry a load.

When grandmom saw the puppy, she couldn’t believe herself,

As he was not a dog, he was a wolf!!

Golden Riding hood explained her,

How the sweet little Tommy had helped her.

The grandmom gave the cake to Golden Riding hood and Tommy,

And grandmom accepted Tommy’s kindness happily!
