The Free Wings
The Free Wings
Bound in the chains,
A captive was I;
With cries to outreach,
But nobody cared.
Each bond linked,
In the chain;
Were screaming to keep,
A hold of me.
But I got the strength,
To free self and fly,
With wings up high.
Be it the bond tied,
A sad heart,
An inner darkness,
Or an unknown feeling !!
A sprinkle of smile,
Over a shine of light;
Was enough to breach,
The exaggerated madness.
I have seen the flock,
Crying with unseen tears;
And a cold heart,
Afraid of an effort to set free.
But one day,
They got the strength;
And found their consciousness,
The self, the reality.
And with the open and free wings,
We flew together !!
