But sometimes spoiling

The well-built reputations.

With the dawn of internet

And mobiles

The fake news

Created and forwarded,

Is reaching the masses,

By leaps and bounds

Fanning their passions

And igniting hatred.

The well- planned rumours

And morphed videos

Reach the illiterates

And the so-called literates,

Who just forward it

Without questioning.

Not knowing how many

Lynches happen,

Innocent lives lost

And properties damaged

Because of a forward

That is unverified.

Being alert and conscious,

Using common-sense

When watching videos

Or reading forwards

That are unsolicited,

Misinterpreted

And full of hate

Is the need of the hour.

Block the fake news

Before it travels far

And causes

Damage untold.
