"The Broken Heart"

The scar on the heart,

is so hard to heal;

It screams out loud,

but that I only feel.

There is no sound,

even with the shatter;

It broke without noise,

but it does matter.

It still smiles with faith,

built on bricks of belief;

and heaves slowly,

with a sigh of relief.

The scar will thus heal,

and will go away with time;

but still it will leave,

a trail behind...
