The Blended
The Blended
No wonder an abode they found within.
They change with every change in life,
Began with a few and soon turned manifold,
Lusty, terrene and some very bold.
I waited to be born and my world was small,
The canvas was white which I brought along
Of Greens, reds, blues and bright yellows,
My childhood flew soon which once grew in the meadows.
My youth is exploring, raging and wanders for lust,
I blended in them teals, corals and a tinge of rust,
I fear not of many fears to come,
Longing for all the hues, playful and winsome.
My many moods will soon mellow,
Wondering, Why the leap? And then so slow,
'Tan’ and ‘browns’ is what once were ‘goldens’ and ‘silvers’,
To my amaze all that I had is not even in the fillers.
I had it to fill in, the hues of life.
It stayed with me in merry and strife,
It rests me in now when I am ready to depart
Remember the white canvas I brought along!!
It is still there a bit too wide and a bit too long.
