Summer Of Our Childhood

Summer Of Our Childhood

Running down the Street.

Chalking on the floor.

Summer of our childhood, who could ask for more?

Friends aplenty, fun galore.

"When shall I be in for tea?"

"Be home at four!"

Falling off your bike, the only way to learn.

Get your first paper round, "I will earn!"

Kissing down ten-foot with the boy next door.

Summer of our childhood, who could ask for more?

"Don't talk to strangers, and mind the glue sniffer in the bush!"

We saw no dangers, life was no rush.

Kid sister trailing you, her mates in tow.

You've got a rep to protect, "just say no!"

Perfume potions made from flowers,

Bulldog and block played for hours.

Daft little arguments over who's going to be "it."

"I'm telling Mam on you!"

"Telltale tit!"

Rainy days of boredom, board games on the floor.

Summer of our childhood, who could as for more?
