Story Of A Corporate Employee

Story Of A Corporate Employee

For many people life of a corporate employee looks very amazing and colourful

Top degrees, high pay, fancy homes and everything so beautiful

The innocent employee enters this illusionary world with lot of dreams and desires

Little he knew that the people he’ll meet will be fake, selfish and liars

Each one has their own problems, agenda and priorities

Most are always scrambling for better opportunities

After switching few jobs, what mattered to him was Company’s culture

It’s only the attitude and hard-work that matters, the rest is unimportant and has little future

His addiction to promotions and awards sure increased his wealth

But even higher expectations and anxiety lead him to depression and bad health

He enters a phase where decisions and management take toll on him

He is isolated from his family; friends seldom see him

He now is a patient of many previously unheard diseases

He hardly cares about the Company and financial spends on his treatment increases

The Company does not have a heart and has to run

It promotes someone or hires another one

Now he sits quietly on his rocking chair and thinks about past few years that he spent in corporate life

He regrets the lost golden moments of his child growing up, spending time with his beautiful wife,

He regrets having fun with his friends and being around in last moments of his parent

His heart now has so many dents that it cannot even be cured by a stent

Let us draw a line between our professional and personal life where both are equal

Let there be satisfaction and not greed so that life remains neutral
