Step Further

It was yesterday

Flew along with the day

Night took over

And we found a nice cover.

 

But it won’t come back

Even if you stake

Claim over yesterday

It has gone anyway.

 

So look back with interest

And think what did you do as the best?

It was just a routine pass

We did not act as asked.

 

Same may be tomorrow

That shall allow

Enough of room

To speak with wisdom.

 

I must wake up before time

Before it catches on me

I shall step further

To see and look after.
