Stagnant Feet

Stagnant Feet

Yesterday when the birds did not fly,

The sky looked empty, and the winds hushed the leaves up;

It seemed as if the nature has ceased to exist,

And there was a dreadful silence that incensed the ambience with an eerie feeling;

Although there was no such cause,

It was only that the birds didn't fly

yet, there was a great loss;

Although the nature was as it ever is,

yet, living the life is what we shall always miss;

We are waiting too long for the birds to fly,

The oceans, trees, mountains and pretty flowers are still there

And once we lift the feet off the wet sand,

The tide shall clear away the old prints

Leaving some new places-

- new places to yearn for and to wish.
