Solitude
Solitude
The silence lurks under the silvery moonlight,
Let the sweet memories creep into the heart and soul.
The enchanted moments that was once there,
Stares back now with a painful glare.
Amidst all the parties and the ball gowns,
Amidst all the merry making 'clowns',
The love shared would be an eternal treasure,
Forever cherished with utmost pleasure.
Beyond description is his gait,
Often in my dreams does he fret,
Such mesmerising was his face,
My heart still melts nonetheless.
Promises were made and broken,
Truest vows dealt with disdain,
On their sojourn to destiny,
Torn apart and nudged to agony.
Tears rolled down the cheeks,
My heart felt heavy as a hundred bricks,
With every utterance of his name,
And the sealed fate which we can't claim.
Dreams that charmed my sleeping mind,
No more does they wish to rewind,
And shedding its true colours and way,
Destiny also seemed to fade away.
Let me wait till the last breath,
Let me wait till the last faith,
Let me wait till the time ticks,
Let me wait till my heart beats.
I would always be there,
And a happy heart I would bear,
And would hid its bloody tears,
And the soul of its 'crimson smears'.
