She Always Lies
She Always Lies
When she smiles and laughs,
It no longer sounds hollow.
She feels like she is falling,
she has learned to mask it all.
her sorrow inside her is,
Covered up begging to be free.
She's so uncertain of why she is sad.
How reality fails to be real,
Tears won't fall, she forgot how to cry.
The pain is tearing her apart.
Most of the time she looks at herself
She hates what she sees.
She will smile and laugh.
So that her scars won't show.
They think she is better.
She plays the part well.
They think she is strong,
But when they see past her mask.
They study her face and quietly ask.
She looks back smiling & she says,
"I'm fine," But the sad truth is
She Always Lies.
