Rotten Fruit

fruits have seasons. watermelon is only good in the summer, grapes are in the fall. so were you.

but for some reason, I wanted to taste you all year. you ripened in summer but turn rotten in fall. and for some reason I still devoured you. I liked every part of you, even the skin. I was sick from eating this rotten fruit. but one day you ripened again. but this time it wasn’t for me to eat.
