Reverie
Reverie
The kiss of rain, a never ending tease
Those drizzly moments, peaceful and distracting
Through greens and yellows of canopy and blossom
Under the blue skies, fields adorned
With a million specks of gold, so ready to harvest
A chirping bird staring at the barking dog
With a glitter in her swollen black eyes
Carefree and unstrung from the worlds whims
Making all else fade into a silent bokeh
Why would one care about the other, I wonder
Thoughts racing wild within a lost mind
One every now and then, the haze clears
Unable to decipher what's more scary
The years gone past or the ones that are left
And the alarm beeps, waking me up to reality of dreams
