Reminiscence

 I can see my relationship fade, 

Like stage lighting, it's getting dim and pale, 

I Can see the darkness before its even dark,

But all I can do is watch.

Watch the memory fade of the first time I talked to him, where I smiled at him and he smiled back, 

where he chuckled at my lame jokes that weren't even jokes! 

Watch the memories fade where we met frequently in the night,

when I didn't get annoyed by the cars driving by or as the crowds dawdling

 But, just concentrated on his smiling face as He listened to me talk about my day for hours.

  Where I clutched his hand tightly during the terrifying movie scene and prayed in my heart, "Lord!!! Please don't put an end to the horror scene! "  

We stayed up all night, only to make the best of the time we had together, savoring every moment with each other until the sun came up.
