Pearls Are We?

All these years we cried out loud and blew the light of white away

Let us slither in silence into our shells of wonder

Give away all the blue waters to the traders and

Live forever in the glory of the watercolors and waves, we once knew

With the stories of our heroes who made their way back homes as lullabies

To give way to our dreams in eternal darkness where we hide

A dream of freedom

A freedom to the sailor’s song

A freedom to the twilight illusions

A freedom to break down a winter wing beat swift

A freedom to close our eyes to the octopus ride!
