Palace Of Melancholy
Palace Of Melancholy
Beyond the stony walls stands a magnificent Palace
There dwelt a queen, a queen named as Alice
In her garden of wisdom, immersed in solace
With reflection of the moon, bright in her chalice
The queen was quiet, And quite upset,
In the comfort of the Palace, she felt unrest
From rising of the sun, until sunset
The days were monotonous, dull; without zest
She climbed the walls and tried to see,
What lays beyond- The Palace of Melancholy
She jumped the walls and set herself free
From the Palace doomed- in deep melancholy
As she jumped the wall, in the moonlit night
Treading over grasses, holding to her might
Away from the Palace in the midnight
The Queen moved with freedom and utmost delight
As the day broke, she found the vast land
Abundant, lush green, beautifully grand
The animals and birds moving freely in grassland
Everything in order, without order or command
The queen found her peace away from the Palace
In the midst of the jungle, she found true solace
She learnt in the grandeur one might be safe
But the soul seeks Freedom, and it will find its place!
